Bandai Namco’s second release of the highly celebrated Little Nightmares series was about to launch. In the run up to release day, they had created a digital comic series outlining key storylines that feature within the new game.

As part of a social campaign around the digital comic series, Bandai Namco wanted to create a range of assets that could be used across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat which would be versatile in both a story-like capacity and carousel promoted posts. They also wanted to create assets that could be used within their App Store pages for the digital comic book.

This campaign won a Muse Creative 2021 award in the DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA Category.

 
 
 
 
 
 

I subtly animated 6 pages from flat PNG assets of the comic series, and repurposed an existing end board on the main trailer for a CTA page within After Effects. For the App Store assets, I made original designs in Photoshop and comped together a preview from a screen recording on my phone to show how it should look in principle. The idea of the text flowing down through each slide was to convey the characters journey deeper into the ‘rabbit hole’ of Little Nightmares II.
